A Sample of Our Unique Classes!

Your child will participate in a comprehensive program of music, visual arts, and dance. We encourage our students to be well-rounded in the arts, thus every student participates in each course in their daily schedule (see sample schedules). Additionally, CAMP uses an interdisciplinary approach to our program in that your child will write music, learn dance, and create art that will all culminate in their final performance at the end of each CAMP session.

Drumming Around the World: CAMPers will design and build their own Latin percussion instruments, learn the fundamentals of rhythm, listen to folktales from around the world, and learn Native American, African, Mexican, and South American music and songs.

Artmadillos: Through a step-by-step method, CAMPers are taught basic drawing, painting, collage, and set-making techniques. They will develop new skills and talents while designing unique creations using a variety of wonderful materials and tools. Each lesson focuses upon developing skills, learning techniques and expanding knowledge in a fun and supportive environment.

Look, Mom, I Can Write a Song: CAMPers explore the basics of songwriting and guitar.  Students work with teaching artists to unlock their innate singing and songwriting skills through a fun, hands on process.
Classes culminate with a performance of student songs.

Jump n' Jive: Students will learn a combination of creative movement and musical theatre dance styles including jazz and lyrical. Emphasis is on musical theatre and using basic dance steps to perform popular jazz and show tunes.

World Parade: This class is an exploration through various cultural dances including west african, merengue, soca, and step dancing. Students will learn technique and choreography typified by these Carnival influenced dances. It’s a global celebration!
